Is this rotation worth it?
See what a repeating roster could earn over the next 12 months, how many paid work days it uses, and what the pay works out to per hour of life away from home. Compare two offers using the same currency. Gross planning estimates only — no tax or take-home pay.
Choose your roster and pay terms, then calculate to see what the rotation earns.
Gross planning estimate only. No tax, pension deductions, benefits, tax residency or take-home pay are calculated. Assumes the roster repeats exactly from the first work day, all rostered work days are paid, and entered overtime, travel pay and allowances are paid as entered. Per-swing extras are attributed to the swing’s first work day. Confirm the contract, paid hours, travel policy and employer approval. No ranking or employment-entitlement claim is made.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a take-home pay calculator?
No. It estimates gross pay before tax, pension deductions, benefits or other deductions. It does not calculate take-home pay.
Can I include paid travel days?
Yes. Enter separately paid travel days per swing and the agreed travel-day rate. The estimate counts those entered travel days as days away from home.
Can I compare two offers?
Yes. Turn on Compare with another rotation / offer and enter the second roster and pay terms. Both results use the same currency and the same next-12-month period.
How is the effective hourly figure calculated?
Estimated gross pay is divided by rostered work hours plus the unpaid travel hours you enter. It is a planning ratio, not a payroll hourly rate.
Does this calculator determine my employment entitlement?
No. Actual pay depends on your agreement, approved timesheets, paid hours, travel rules and applicable law. Confirm figures with your employer or payroll team.
